Fall Teaching Series

Picture

Most people want God’s help to live good lives. But at the same time, many people are deeply skeptical of the Bible—they struggle with the idea that an ancient book written thousands of years ago could be relevant and applicable today—so they sincerely question if they will authentically find God in it.

People who believe the Bible tell a very different story. They experience guidance, wisdom, hope, joy, and perspective from this ancient book of wisdom. But how can this be?

Flawed men wrote it. Culture has changed a thousand times since. It makes crazy claims that defy science. Aren’t there a lot of outdated and silly things in the Bible? Hasn’t the Bible added to a lot of oppression in history? Isn’t the Bible hard to understand? Why in the world should we trust it?

Join us at Mt. Hope Church for a raw, honest, and authentic discussion about the Bible as a powerful source of life. Your doubts are welcome. Your tough questions are encouraged. Your disbelief will be safe. But if you let it, your life just might be changed!

DECEMBER TEACHING SERIES

Picture

Most of us live with some sense of shame and shortcoming that often causes us to hold back from intimacy with God.
In coming to save the world, God could have chosen any method of entrance to humanity—He could have come as a king, as an adult, as a warrior. His work to save us occurred on the cross, as an adult. But before accomplishing that most important mission, He purposely chose to enter humanity through the most helpless, needy, and dependent phase of the human experience.
He entered our stories from the very beginning.
He grew as a child and navigated through every aspect of our broken humanity so that He could meet us where we are and be fully present with us to heal, relate, save, and empower us. Join us and gain a whole new perspective on who God is!
