and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 |
My wife, Leigh, and I became official members of Mt Hope in 2001. We were married here by Pastor John Zoller. Our daughters, Natalie and Lorelei, grew up learning about and loving the Lord at Mt Hope. We were all baptized here by Pastor John as a profession of our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. My family made and cultivated very close friendships with members of Mt Hope. In fact, some we consider as close as family. Mt Hope is where my faith grew and continues to grow and mature in my walk with Christ.
I am humbled to serve as an addition to the church elder team. I feel the least qualified but accepted the position with the reassuring knowledge that God is working in me; and this is part of His purpose. I hope to honor God in this capacity. Born in the Philippines of Chinese descent, I came to America in 1988. Leigh and I met while working together in the hospital. I am currently working in the emergency department as a registered nurse. I enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities and being physically active. |
