Scripture is clear that we, as Christ followers and as a church, have been given a mission. In the 28th and final chapter of the Gospel of Matthew Jesus gave this command: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” At Mount Hope Church we understand the importance of this command and we have embarked on a mission to obey it. By prayer and by the Holy Spirit’s direction, the Men’s Ministry is focused on equipping the men of the church through challenges. Jesus certainly challenged his disciples through training and teaching and living out what they had learned – to become like Him. The goal is not only to carry out the Great Commission, but to become more godly at home, at work, at church, in our communities, and in all our relationships. Our goal, our mission, is to grow in Christ.
