Hello! Kristie and I are so blessed to be a part of the Mt Hope body. We have three grown children and currently reside in Leesburg. I have been teaching high school English in Loudoun County for 25 years, and Kristie is the admin and facilities manager at Mt Hope.
For fun, we enjoy the outdoors- hiking, camping, and gardening; I also enjoy the arts- playing music, painting, writing, cooking, etc...Kristie loves to sing and play piano, do occasional writing, and read. Together we enjoy remodeling the family cabin in Maine. We tend to connect deeply with God through these activities and come away from them renewed. We are humbled to be called to eldership, as we are aware of how much God is still at work in us. But, we are also reminded that God doesn’t ask us for perfection, He asks us for a willing heart, humility, obedience, and faith. So, we are privileged to serve God in this capacity, and we pray that He uses us for His purposes. |
Listen to the Lord who created you, the one who formed you:
Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression, the flames will not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
Isaiah 43:1-3 (para)
