Hello! My wife Kristie and I are so blessed to be a part of the Mt Hope body. We have three grown children and currently reside in Leesburg. I have been teaching high school English in Loudoun County for almost 20 years, and Kristie is a substitute teacher in the county as well.
For fun, I enjoy the outdoors- hiking, camping, and gardening; I also enjoy the arts- painting, writing, cooking, etc...I tend to connect deeply with God through these activities and come away from them renewed. I am humbled to be called to eldership, as I am aware of how much God is still at work in me. But, I am also reminded that God doesn’t ask us for perfection, He asks us for a willing heart, humility, obedience, and faith. So, I am privileged to serve God in this capacity, and I pray that He uses me for His purposes. |
Listen to the Lord who created you, the one who formed you:
Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression, the flames will not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
Isaiah 43:1-3 (para)
